I'm just going to say that straight off, because I really have been quite lazy as of late. blame it on having nothing to do, blame it on the heat, either way, I'm a lazy bum.
So after my last post, Jon and I traveled up to Ithaca New York to spend time with Jon's family. They recently moved, and I must say, there house is ADORABLE. I called it a number of things, including, but not limited to: the smurf village, candy land, and hansel and gretel houses. here's a link to them: http://www.boicevillecottages.com/ they are crazy cool...I kinda want one. the only thing is there are relatively small, and during our stay there, the house was full to the gills. Here's the rundown of everyone who was crammed into the house: Jon's Mom, Jon's Dad, Jordan, Jimmy, Koura (Jon's Cousin) and us. It was fun though.
We went all over Ithaca, including two different waterfalls. On top of that, we got to see Koura dance in an opera called the Magic Flute. it was a very confusing opera, but the singers were excellent, and Koura was awesome.
After a week of fun in Ithaca, Jon and I finally headed back home to our apartment in Hyde Park. It is usually about 3 1/2 hours worth of driving. but it took us almost 5 hours to get back because of traffic. On top of that, we almost hit a deer. It ran up right to the edge of a road, and stopped.
And now we are back in lovely Hyde Park. Jon has class all day, so I'm alone most of the time. We built a desk, two bookcases, a filing cabinet and our kitchen table w/ four chairs. And I've applied for a bunch of jobs too...
So thats all for now.
